Laurie Trigilio began a regular practice of yoga in 1998 due to running injuries and soon discovered it provided more balance in her life in many ways. She experienced increased physical and mental well-being, a greater sense of inner peace, and the awakening of a dormant spirituality. Her teaching encourages mindfulness, safe alignment, and healing movement and breath. She has been teaching yoga and facilitating women’s retreats since 2004, which includes five years of teaching yoga and mindfulness classes at MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is 500-hour Yoga Alliance certified, with an additional 300-hour certification in Healing Emphasis Yoga. She has also been certified to teach Yoga for Healthy Aging and Yoga for Cancer (Y4C).
